Last weekend in D.C.

It is hard to believe our time here has come to an end. We have been able to experience such wonderful things and made many happy memories. We are also looking forward to being home.

After our boys are about a year old it seems they have a really hard time making it through Sacrament meeting. Kyle took Jo for a walk when he was having a particularly hard moment and they went over to the temple. I LOVE having the temple next to our church building and seeing it every Sunday.

We did a bit of shopping Saturday during the day, and went to the temple that night to see the Christmas lights and displays. I am really going to miss seeing this temple every week. It was fun to be able to see the lights at the temple. It made it feel a bit more like home...

When we moved here Kyle saw one of the sister missionaries in our ward and thought he might know her. Turns out it was a girl from Kyle's ward growing up. Sister Hazen is such a sweet girl. From the few times I met with her I could see what a Christlike person she is. I am so grateful for worthy young men and women who serve honorable missions.

Our last time at the Rockville ward. Bittersweet.

Kyle will work Monday-Friday this week, then on Saturday we are on our way home. We get to stop off in Pittsburgh on the way to visit some of our favorite people! Can't wait to see them...

Damon's Prayer

Tonight he said, "I am grateful that I know everything, and mommy and daddy know some things..." :)

Harpers Ferry

Saturday we drove to Harpers Ferry National Historic Park in West Virginia.

They did not have very much parking in the actual town, so we parked a little bit away and walked. There were beautiful things to see along the way.

First view of the town.

The boys (especially Jonas) loved throwing rocks in the water. The rest of the time we were there he kept moving his arm like he was throwing a rock and making a splash sound with his mouth.

All the fresh pine wreaths and garlands were so beautifully festive I got butterflies. How wonderful Christmas time is...

We had lunch at Hannah's seafood and bbq restaurant.

They sell antiques too. The little metal horse was the coolest.
