Davis County Jr Miss

I know I am a little late in posting about this, but last week Brookie was in the Jr Miss 'program' at Viewmont High. She was truly amazing. Brooklyn has always been so sweet and mature for her years. Aside from being extremely talented she is very modest about it. It has been such a blessing for me to be her sister and learn from her. What an amazing person she is. I am so glad she decided to participate in this program and get out of her comfort zone. She was absolutely beautiful, stunning! We couldn't keep our eyes off her (and not just because she is family :)

She played the piano beautifully.

Instead of doing the 'swimsuit' thing, the Jr Miss program has the girls do an exercise routine.

Every girl could have one person backstage with her, and Brookie was so kind to let me help her! What a treat, I loved helping her get all girly! Thanks Brookie! I had so much fun.

All the girls and the two coordinators.

So for Jr Miss, there are three finalists,...and all three get to go to the state program! Brooklyn along with two other girls will be competing next year.

The three in the center are the finalists.

Our proud family! We love you Brooklyn! (We missed you Ryan, Brian, Alisha, and Jayce)

AND we got to see someone really special there that I almost forgot to mention. President Eyring! His grand daughter participated in the program with Brooklyn. He and his wife sat with their family a few rows away from us. He truly brought tears to my eyes just to see his face so close and to feel of the spirit he brought with him. Such a valiant servant of our Heavenly Father.

Yay! Thank you for the pictures! We are so proud of Brookie... She looks gorgeous! How fun that you got to be with her. She does stand out... Brian kept on commenting about how she was SO beautiful! No bias of course. =) So were you guys able to meet President Eyring? He used to come into Bountiful Dick's all the time when I worked at that AFCU branch... I remember feeling that same sweet feeling that you described! Love you guys...

Charise, I'm so glad that you got these pictures at the pageant. I'm going to put them on our blog, if that's okay with you. And thanks for being Brooklyn's special helper backstage. I'm so grateful you were there to help her! And thanks for telling about Elder Eyring. I didn't do that. That was special. Sure love you.

That is really cool. I don't know your family very well, but I've always been inspired by their (and your) humility and beauty. You seem so close to each other and to the spirit. That's awesome!!
